The FIBA eWorldCup Quarterfinals matches are set, as with the last eightfinals match: France won vs Montenegro.
Serbia and Luka Vujasinovic controlling his own nation vs France, controlled by Bor Steblaj, will be a very balanced match, with a slight roster advantage for France, but Luka Vujasinovic has showed in recent tournaments, that he can even win it all with less skilled rosters.
The second quarterfinal is a very balanced on both: roster and gamers and Germany won after a midrange buzzer beater in an exhibition vs Spain and Miguel Zuazua before the start of the FIBA eWorldCup.
A croatian-serbian duel is formed in the third quarterfinal, as eEuroleague 2K23 season II winner from Croatia, Dominik Jovanov, who controls Argentina, will meet Partizan eSports Gamer Zarko Avramovic - who is competing with Australia. Argentina is slightly the favourite here, although Australia has clearly the better roster in this matchup.
Last but not least: Greece and Giannis Koukas found on track, after 0-3 wins in the Second Round Group stage, came up big with a suprising win vs Latvia and Gioele Marino, who had not a single loss till the knock out loss in the Eightfinals. Angola on the other hand, controlled by Jeremy Irvin Atienza, is a huge outsider, but also a huge suprise and the biggest upset so far. So as they never met each other before, probably Greece being favourite, as only thing that can be compared at this point, are the rosters.
For Miguel Zuazua (Spain) and both Giannis Koukas (Greece), Jeremy Irvin Atienza (Angola) this stage has even more in the pot: all three are fighting for a wildcard for the best performing of them three in the FIBA eWorld Cup, as they are the only gamers remained in this tournament stage, who do not have an Virtual Euroleague 2K24 season I license.
