Veni, Vidi, Vici: Giacomo Salerno

Giacomo Salerno is the new coach for Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana as he wins the mid-season wildcard tournament.

Being new addition gamer mid-season in our leagues, the Italian had to go to third league, but before he even started there, a wildcard opinion opened up, as Vid Arbanas has been kicked out of EuroCup, controlling slovenian EuroCup side, Cedevita.

Salerno took the chance and applied for the EuroCup.

In the semifinal of the wildcard tournament he beat Marko Božić, who was Counted as favourite, with 104:74 with spectaculour 70% from downtown (14/20).

In the final he beat another Italian, Alessandro Ceré with 108:99 to secure himself the mid-season advancing to EuroCup, where he takes Group A winningless team Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (0-6), but has still Prometey behind in the Group table (0-9).

Giacomo is optimistic that he can still turn things around to fight for the cruicial 6th spot, that secures PlayOff Round 1 spot and automatical right for him to compete in season 2 EuroCup, but also for a miracle and to make it to the EuroLeague.
