The Photo Finish of the Euroleague regular season: constellations explained

Virtual Euroleague regular season I in 2K24 is close to the end as teams and gamers fight for seeds, direct Play-Off spots or to gain a Play-In spot.

As it is the closest season ever so far, it comes down to the very last games and to direct head-to-heads deciding who will be on which place and spot.

So we started a breakdown of all possible constallations:

As you can see from the standings, almost all teams played their 17 regular season games in the Virtual Euroleague.

Zalgiris Kaunas and Martynas Valaitis secured the top seed for the play-offs as they won the head-to-head vs Crvena Zvezda and Luka Vujasinovic, who secured the 2nd spot.

Milano (Bor Steblaj) and Efes (reigning champion Dominik Jovanov) also secured direct Play-Off spots, but if 3-5 depends on if Monaco wins both its games.

But after that it gets way more complicated: 3 teams with a 10-7 record, Monaco with 10-5 with the best position out of this and more or less could decide its own outcome and that of the other teams, as in worst case Monaco (Stefan Jovic) could get to 10-7. Their remaining games are vs Partizan and the 9-7 record holding Valencia (Jovan Gvozdic).

A bit down under at the Play In spots, five teams fight for the last Play In spot, as Maccabi (Ives Atienza) is with 8-8 record, but wins the head-to-head to Panathinaikos (Giannis Moscholios). If Maccabi wins its last game vs Barcelona (Viktor Vladov) it is basically for all others behind: Panathinaikos, Asvel, Partizan and Barcelona inclusively. If Maccabi looses, it gets way more complicated.
