EuroCup 2K24: Groups drawn for Virtual EuroCup

Groups are ready for the 2K24 Virtual EuroCup, that is planned to start Mid/End October.

The 11 teams per group will face their 10 opponents once, so every team would have 5 home and 5 away games in the regular season, with one game per week.

There will be play-ins for the 7-10th placed in the groups, the top 6 continue.

The difference with real-life Euroleague: the groups will not get crossed in the knockouts, so the play-offs will be played in their groups as they stay there like in Play-Offs.

The 11th placed of both Group A and Group B will face off in a do-or-die matchup, as the winner will remain with EuroCup license also for Season II in NBA 2K24, meanwhile the looser of this matchup will go down to the third league (Overtime League 3), which officially counts as an Amateur Gaming League. The winner of the "Overtime League 3" which is the third tier of Virtual 2K 1v1 Basketball in Europe, will get the EuroCup license for the next season instead.

Lietkabelis Panevezys, Slask Wroclaw and Veolia Towers Hamburg will not be included in the Virtual EuroCup, but instead following clubs will be in: for the second time in a row is the turkish side KSK Pinar Karsiyaka, and all following are first-timer - starting with Bulgarian traditional side CSKA Sofia, the easyCredit BBL comebacker - German side RASTA Vechta, where Andrew Jones plays in real-life and will control his team, but also Turkish side Samsunspor - who managed to get promotion for 1. Turkish league in real-life and last, but not least: Cypriotic side Anorthosis Famagusta, that will be controlled by real-life player and Cypriotic national team player - Zayd Muosa.
