Rules for leagues participation

1. League Format & Structure

1.1 All Cyber Euroleague tournaments are hosted on MyLEAGUE Online in NBA 2K26.

1.2 Each user controls their entire team during matches.

1.3 The game difficulty is set to Hall of Fame using custom sliders approved by the league.

1.4 Matches are played in four quarters of 8 minutes each.

1.5 All official match results and league standings are tracked and recorded via SofaScore.

1.6 Tiebreakers are resolved by head-to-head record in case of equal win–loss standings.

1.7 Adjustments to league rules or structure can only be made with approval from the League Owner.

1.8 Every participant must own or have access to a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series S, or play from an approved ESB Hub.

1.9 Matches against CPU-controlled teams in the Academy or 3rd League must still be streamed and played as official league games. CPU sliders are adjusted to perform just below the lowest-ranked human users.

1.10 All participants are required to subscribe to the Cyber Euroleague YouTube channel at youtube.com/@cybereuroleague and follow the official Instagram profile @cybereuroleague.

1.11 Each player must download the SofaScore app and follow all three tournaments listed: “Cyber Euroleague,” “Cyber Eurocup,” and “Cyber BCL.”

2. Gameplay Rules

🎯 2.1 On-Ball Defense Requirement

2.1.1 Players must play on-ball defense as their primary defensive approach.

2.1.2 Off-ball defense is permitted only when guarding shooters, reacting to transition mismatches, intercepting cuts, or rotating help defense.

2.1.3 It is prohibited to manually switch with no purpose, call untriggered double teams, or stand off-ball in corners.

⚡ 2.2 Offensive Conduct

2.2.1 Players may use any offensive playbook.

2.2.2 The 5-Out offensive formation is allowed.

2.2.3 After made baskets, users must inbound the ball into their own half, except in the final minute.

2.2.4 Off-ball defensive control in transition is allowed only when reacting to screens or cuts.

2.2.5 Any violation must be reported with at least two video clips and tagged to the admins.

⏸️ 2.3 Pausing & Disconnections

2.3.1 If a pause timer runs out for the first time, the game must continue.

2.3.2 On the second pause timer expiration, the opponent may claim the win.

2.3.3 In case of disconnection, players must immediately provide screenshots or clips and tag an admin.

2.3.4 Admins may decide to: (1) fully replay the match, (2) resume using current score and remaining time, or (3) reset and start fresh.

3. Scheduling & Match Conduct

📅 3.1 Scheduling

3.1.1 All scheduling follows CET/CEST time.

3.1.2 Once agreed, match times must be posted in the #scheduled-games Discord channel at least one hour in advance.

3.1.3 Each matchday has a 2-week window for completion.

3.1.4 Postponements require opponent approval.

3.1.5 Extensions beyond the match window require League Owner approval.

🕒 3.2 Late Start

3.2.1 Players may arrive up to 20 minutes late if they inform the opponent at least 30 minutes ahead.

3.2.2 Postponements must be arranged at least one hour before the match start.

📺 3.3 Streaming & Hosting

3.3.1 The home team is responsible for hosting and streaming.

3.3.2 If unable to stream, the home team must tag an admin.

3.3.3 The away team may stream only with mutual consent.

3.3.4 Xbox users who cannot stream to YouTube must ask the opponent to do so. If not possible, admins must be tagged.

3.3.5 If a player’s internet prevents stable streaming, hosting may be handed to the opponent.

📝 3.4 Reporting Results

3.4.1 The winner must report results within 3 hours of game completion.

3.4.2 The report must include final score, quarter-by-quarter breakdown, and full team stats.

3.4.3 Repeated failures to report may lead to suspensions.

4. Game Settings & Profiles

🔧 4.1 Shooting Settings

4.1.1 Players may use button, stick, or rhythm timing.

4.1.2 Shot timing visibility can be enabled or disabled based on user preference.

👀 4.2 HUD Customization

4.2.1 Players can view opponent timing styles via Features → Customize HUD → Perfect Release.

🔊 4.3 Audio Rules

4.3.1 Standard in-game audio is recommended.

4.3.2 Users who stream with copyrighted music risk YouTube strikes and league suspension.

5. Player Ratings & Stability

🎓 5.1 In-Season Rating Locks

5.1.1 Player ratings do not change mid-season, regardless of real-life form.

📊 5.2 Exceptions

5.2.1 Admins may adjust ratings only with 50%+1 admin approval.

5.2.2 Community votes on rating changes also require 50%+1 support from all active users.

5.2.3 If a gamer is joining a team mid-season, the commissioner will check the player ratings of the team and readjust as per current real-life performances

6. Suspensions & Penalties

⚖️ 6.1 General Conduct

6.1.1 All penalties are reviewed and imposed by the Commissioner or assigned Admins.

6.1.2 If a suspension is needed, it is applied to the highest-rated player on the team.

🚫 6.2 Forfeits & Rage Quits

6.2.1 Forfeiting 3 games may lead to relegation or removal.

6.2.2 Full no-shows are recorded as 20–0 forfeits.

6.2.3 Quitting before halftime = automatic 80–60 loss.

6.2.4 Quitting in 3rd quarter (before final 2 minutes) = 0–20 loss for Q3 and Q4.

6.2.5 Quitting in 4th quarter (before final 2 minutes) = 0–20 for Q4.

6.2.6 Quitting in last 2 minutes of Q3 = Q3 score stands; Q4 = 0–20.

6.2.7 Quitting in last 2 minutes of Q4 = Q4 = 0–20.

🧩 6.3 Slider Complaints

6.3.1 Complaining disrespectfully about sliders = 1-game suspension for 6th or 7th man.

6.3.2 Only the Commissioner may change sliders.

🔌 6.4 Disconnection Protocol

6.4.1 Tag admins immediately if disconnected.

6.4.2 Admins will decide outcome: replay, resume, or restart.

6.4.3 Provide proof if required.

7. Injuries & Recovery

🚑 7.1 Injury Mechanics

7.1.1 Preseason injuries will reflect real-life injury status at the start of the league.

7.1.2 Injuries can occur at any time, including during preseason matches.

7.1.3 Teams must continue to play with 9–10 available players if injuries occur.

💰 7.2 Coins & Ambulance Cards

7.2.1 The cost to upgrade player badges is as follows:

  • Bronze to Silver requires 1 Coin.

  • Silver to Gold requires 2 Coins.

  • Gold to Hall of Fame requires 10 Coins.

  • Hall of Fame to Legendary requires 15 Coins.

7.2.2 Two Coins can be exchanged for one Ambulance Card.

7.2.3 Ambulance Cards can heal any injury, regardless of its length.

7.2.4 Ambulance Cards should not be used to recover players from minor or trivial injuries.

7.2.5 Ambulance Cards and Coins are distributed only by the Commissioner.

8. Slider & Roster Policies

🛠️ 8.1 Gameplay Sliders

8.1.1 Gameplay sliders are reviewed and tested after every major NBA 2K gameplay update.

8.1.2 Changes to sliders are made only if gameplay has changed significantly and multiple users report issues.

👥 8.2 Roster Policy

8.2.1 No trades or free agent signings are allowed under any circumstances.

8.2.2 The league uses real-life rosters, updated as quickly as possible to reflect real transactions.

8.2.3 Each team is limited to 15 players, selected based on who has appeared most frequently in real-life games.

8.2.4 Long-term injured players may be removed from the roster if replacements are needed.

9. Coin System

🏅 9.1 Coin Rewards

9.1.1 Coins are awarded by the Commissioner for exceptional contributions, extra effort, or valuable help to the league.

9.1.2 Each game week, the leader of the Cyber Euroleague Fantasy Challenge (internal league) receives one Coin.

10. Promotion & Relegation System

⬇️ 10.1 Euroleague Relegation

10.1.1 The bottom two teams in the regular season standings are automatically relegated to Eurocup, if not eligable for the Qualifiers tournament via CEL coefficient.

10.1.2 The 18th has to play Qualifiers with 7 other participants, for the last Euroleague ticket

⬆️ 10.2 Eurocup Promotion

10.2.1 The two Eurocup finalists are promoted to Euroleague.

10.2.2 The two semifinals loosers enter the Qualifier Tournament for the last Euroleague ticket.

10.2.3 The Qualifier includes:

  • The 18th in the standings of Euroleague regular season

  • Both Eurocup semifinal losers

  • The 3rd League champion

  • The 4 highest-ranked player in the CEL Coefficient who are not already having a Euroleague ticket, counts also for potential comeback players and players participating in any of our leagues

🔄 10.3 Eurocup Relegation

10.3.1 The last-placed team in each Eurocup group is automatically relegated.

10.3.2 The 9th-placed (second-last) teams in both groups may be forced to play relegation games if higher-ranked players from the CEL Coefficient wish to rejoin.

📈 10.4 3rd League Playoffs

10.4.1 The finalists of the 3rd League are promoted to Eurocup.

10.4.2 The top 8 teams qualify for the 3rd League playoffs.

10.4.3 All rounds in the 3rd League playoffs are played as best-of-5 series.

11. Playoff Formats

🏆 11.1 Euroleague Playoffs

11.1.1 The playoff structure follows the official Euroleague format.

🥉 11.2 Eurocup Playoffs

11.2.1 All rounds in the Eurocup playoffs are best-of-3 series.

🥇 11.3 3rd League Playoffs

11.3.1 The 3rd League playoffs consist of best-of-5 series in all rounds.

12. Discord Conduct & Match Communication

💬 12.1 Discord Behavior

12.1.1 All players must be members of the official league Discord server.

12.1.2 Players must respond when tagged in game chat or other official channels within 24–48 hours maximum.

12.1.3 During an active season, if a player is unavailable due to vacation or personal reasons, they must announce it clearly in advance and suggest possible time slots.

12.1.4 Match scheduling must take place publicly in the #scheduled-games Discord channel.

12.1.5 All participants are required to behave respectfully toward other users.

12.1.6 Misbehavior, toxicity, or repeated poor conduct may result in official warnings, match suspensions, or permanent bans as determined by the admins.

📱 12.2 Emergency Contact Policy

12.2.1 Every player must provide a valid phone number with a working WhatsApp account to the Commissioner for emergency communication purposes.

🔍 12.3 Rule Updates

12.3.1 All rule changes are announced publicly by the League Owner and Admins.

12.3.2 The final decision on rule enforcement and updates rests with the League Owner and administrative team.
