AEK Athens vs Fenerbahce? No, this is not a football ⚽ match, but a safe matchup in the Euroleague Qualifiers Semifinals for the last spot in the Virtual Euroleague season II.

All remaining 3rd league gamers in their respective league playoffs, chose to play with AEK Athens if they win the 3rd league, as they get a shot to skip EuroCup for a possible direct qualification to EuroLeague.

The winner of the 3rd league meats the last placed of the Euroleague, Mislav "Comi" Dvorski, who will try to defend his EuroLeague spot with his season I team Fenerbahce beko. "Comi" would have had to leave behind him in the standings a gamer, who has no "A-License" (Jaleen Smith, Bryant Dunston, Sasha Vezenkov), but he can only theoretically leave behind Dunston, who can not get relegated.

So one of the Semis for this Qualifier will be 100% Fenerbahce vs AEK Athens.

The winner would play a do-or-die for the last Euroleague ticket vs the winner of the other semifinal, that will include the two EuroCup Semifinals losers.

Both EuroCup finalists get direct tickets for the Euroleague in Season II of 2K24.

Season I gamers of Barcelona (Viktor Vladov) and Baskonia (Aleksandar Gavalyugov) will go down as per own decisions, as Vladov is the main creator and wants to have only admin functions of the Virtual Euroleague and Gavalyugov is located in Australia, where he doesn't have good internet and is expected to control his homeside team Balkan Botevgrad in a possible comeback of the Bulgarian side into the Virtual EuroCup.

There is one special thing, that might a become into a fact: "Serbia's 4th"

  • as per applying EL rules: a max. of 4 gamers of one and the same country can be in the Virtual EuroLeague

This is the case for Serbia, as they have 4 gamers with Serbian passport right now.

There is special rules that apply for Serbia in this case:

  • if Jaleen Smith leaves Partizan in real-life at any time, and no other real-life player to join the club, Zarko Avramovic automatically returns to controlling Partizan and worst Serbian gamer in the standing would get relegated to EuroCup automatically

  • if a Serbian gamer directly makes the EuroLeague ticket via EuroCup, by reaching EuroCup final, the worst in Euroleague standings would go down to EuroCup (as max. 4 gamers from one nation allowed), his place to be taken by Qualifiers finals loser

  • if a Serbian gamer makes his EL spot via winning 3rd league and he wins the EL Qualifiers (as 3rd league winner and winning the EL Qualifiers) - there would be a Serbian gamers' showdown do-or-die extra match between the worst EL serbian gamer in standings with his EL team vs the other one with AEK Athens. The finals loser would take the Qualifiers' winner spot instead.

  • if a Serbian gamer wins the EL Qualifier and has been EuroCup before, he has to play do-or-die Serbian gamers' showdown vs the worst Serbian EL gamer in he standings. The Qualifier so would be taken by the Qualifiers' loser

  • If BOTH Qualifier finalists are Serbians, it gets really complicated: The Qualifier finals' winner would be Serbian and play the do-or-die vs the worst Serbian gamer in EL for the 4th Serbian spot. The Qualifier spot would get to the winner of an extra match of both Qualifiers semis, as they would not be Serbians.

And as per now how the Serbians are in the standings:

  • Crvena Zvezda/Vujasinovic 12:4

  • Monaco/Jovic 10:5

  • Bayern/Obradovic 9:7

  • Valencia/Gvozdic 9:7

The head-to-head was won by Bayern, so if a Serbian gets into one of the top cases via EuroCup or Qualifiers, it would apply Valencia and Jovan Gvozdic right now.

For the internal Serbian standings, the playoffs count in, in which round the gamers get eliminated, if the rounds are same, than the regular season standings are taken into account.
