Kolday Punishes Ramos’ Defensive Gamble as Beşiktaş Beat Barcelona in Opener

Turkish youngster Bora Kolday made a strong start to his Cyber EuroLeague 2K27 campaign, guiding Beşiktaş to a 71–59 victory over Miguel Ramos and Barcelona in the season opener.
Kolday took control early and built the foundation for the win before halftime. Beşiktaş edged the opening quarter 18–14 before producing the decisive stretch of the game in the second period, outscoring Barcelona 24–11 to take a commanding 42–25 advantage into the break.
Ramos responded after halftime, with Barcelona winning both the third quarter 17–14 and the fourth 17–15, but the damage from the opening half proved too significant to overcome. Beşiktaş closed out the game 71–59 to give Kolday his first victory of the new 2K27 Cyber EuroLeague season.
A major tactical storyline was Ramos’ defensive approach. With NBA 2K27 no longer displaying which defender is being controlled by the opponent, the Portuguese player attempted to defend off-ball more frequently. The strategy is permitted under the competition rules, but Kolday repeatedly found ways to punish it, executing efficiently in the half court and getting strong production from the Beşiktaş guards.
Ramos acknowledged after the game that his defensive performance had not been good enough and that he struggled to keep pace with Beşiktaş’ backcourt.
Availability was relatively favorable for both sides, with real-life injury reports being applied to the Cyber EuroLeague rosters. Only one player featured on the injury list, while Beşiktaş also remained without Maddy Sissoko, whose contract has been frozen after he did not pass his medical examination. That leaves uncertainty over when Sissoko will become available again both in real life and, consequently, for Kolday in Cyber EuroLeague competition.
The result gives Turkish youngster Bora Kolday an ideal opening to his campaign with Beşiktaş. Miguel Ramos, who entered the matchup with the more highly rated Barcelona roster, instead begins his 2K27 season with a defeat.
Final score: Beşiktaş 71–59 Barcelona Quarter scores: 18–14, 24–11, 14–17, 15–17 Beşiktaş: Bora Kolday 🇹🇷 Barcelona: Miguel Ramos 🇵🇹
