Cyber EuroLeague (CEL), operating under the European Cyber Sports Organization (ECSO), is proud to announce a new official partnership with Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, marking another significant step in connecting professional European basketball with the rapidly expanding world of competitive esports.

The collaboration brings one of Israeli basketball's most prominent clubs into the Cyber EuroLeague ecosystem, combining official competitive representation with new opportunities for basketball fans to experience their favourite teams in NBA 2K27.

The announcement represents more than the addition of another club to the competition. It reflects a shared commitment to making European basketball increasingly accessible through gaming, digital competition and international media coverage.

Aviv Boostani to Represent Hapoel on Europe's Premier NBA 2K Stage

As part of the partnership, Israeli esports competitor Aviv Boostani will officially represent Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv in the Cyber EuroLeague.

Competing against leading NBA 2K players from across Europe, Boostani will carry Hapoel's identity into the league's top-tier online competition, where participants represent established European basketball clubs throughout a structured season.

Cyber EuroLeague recreates the competitive environment of elite European basketball through NBA 2K27, featuring regular-season fixtures, league standings and high-level competition between internationally recognized teams.

With Hapoel officially represented, the club's supporters will have a new opportunity to follow their team beyond the physical basketball court.

Every matchup contributes to an ongoing European esports championship, allowing fans to experience the intensity of EuroLeague-style basketball through competitive gaming.

Hapoel Tel Aviv and All EuroLeague Clubs Coming to NBA 2K27 Fans

The partnership also supports one of Cyber EuroLeague's most ambitious projects: bringing European club basketball into NBA 2K27 through a dedicated EuroLeague modification.

Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv will be playable alongside the complete EuroLeague club lineup, with the project supporting PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The modification is designed to recreate the European basketball experience within NBA 2K27, allowing players to take control of familiar clubs and compete in a virtual EuroLeague environment.

Importantly, the project is intended to extend beyond Cyber EuroLeague's official competitors.

Public Offline Mod Coming Soon

A public offline version of the NBA 2K27 EuroLeague mod is currently planned for release, making the experience accessible to basketball fans and console players beyond the competitive league.

This means supporters will soon be able to select Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv and compete with their favourite European teams directly within NBA 2K27.

Further information regarding availability, installation and release details will be communicated through Cyber EuroLeague's official channels.

EuroCup Expansion Planned for Late 2027

Cyber EuroLeague's longer-term development roadmap also includes an ambitious expansion of the mod.

The entire EuroCup club lineup is planned to become playable towards the end of 2027, extending the project beyond the EuroLeague and creating an even broader European basketball gaming experience.

The proposed expansion forms part of ECSO's wider ambition to develop a comprehensive virtual basketball ecosystem connecting Europe's leading competitions.

Watch Every Cyber EuroLeague Game Live

Fans will be able to follow Hapoel's esports journey and the entire Cyber EuroLeague competition through official live broadcasts.

All Cyber EuroLeague games will be streamed on the competition's YouTube channel, providing access to match coverage, replays and highlights.

In addition, Sofascore provides live scores, fixtures, statistics and standings, allowing supporters to follow the competition through a familiar sports-data platform.

A New Chapter for European Basketball and Esports

The arrival of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv as an official Cyber EuroLeague partner demonstrates the growing connection between traditional professional basketball and competitive gaming.

By combining recognized basketball clubs, dedicated esports representatives, professional match coverage and accessible in-game content, Cyber EuroLeague aims to create a bridge between real-world European basketball and its digital future.

For Hapoel supporters, the partnership introduces two exciting opportunities: following Aviv Boostani as the club's official competitive gaming representative and, soon, taking control of Hapoel themselves through the public NBA 2K27 EuroLeague mod.

For ECSO and Cyber EuroLeague, the collaboration represents another important milestone in the continued development of European basketball esports.

One club. Two arenas. A new generation of European basketball.
