Cyber Euro League Uncovers Player Identity Misrepresentation and Issues Permanent Ban to Davidov

Cyber Euro League (CEL) has identified Aviv Boostani as the player behind the PlayStation account previously represented to the league as belonging to Aviv Davidov, following a direct conversation that revealed a serious discrepancy regarding the identity of the player.

According to Cyber Euro League owner Viktor Vladov, CEL had previously been communicating with Aviv Davidov under the understanding that Davidov himself was the gamer. CEL's findings indicate that Davidov had instead been acting as an intermediary between the league and Aviv Boostani while representing himself in league communications as though he were the player.

Prior to the discovery, communications concerning the player—including communications conducted through the league's WhatsApp channels and Discord—had been handled by Aviv Davidov. As a result, CEL had no reason at the time to believe that a different individual was actually playing.

The situation became clear during preparations for Boostani's participation in the league.

Davidov had asked Boostani to play using Davidov's PlayStation account and, according to the information provided to CEL, told Boostani that this arrangement had been requested by the league. CEL confirms that it never gave such an instruction.

Vladov subsequently invited the PlayStation account associated with Davidov into a party chat, believing that he was speaking directly with Davidov. The person who joined, however, identified himself as Aviv Boostani and explained that he was the actual gamer.

The conversation immediately revealed that both CEL and Boostani had been operating under different understandings. Boostani understood Davidov to be managing communications with the league on his behalf, while CEL understood Davidov himself to be the player.

Following the direct conversation and CEL's review of the circumstances, the league has established that *Aviv Boostani is the actual player, while *Aviv Davidov is not recognized by CEL as the gamer behind those performances.

Disciplinary Action

As a result of CEL's findings regarding the misrepresentation of the player's identity and the circumstances surrounding the communications, Aviv Davidov has been banned from all activities, competitions and matters connected with Cyber Euro League.

CEL is also treating Davidov as ineligible for participation in official 2K competitions conducted through CEL and applicable tournaments organized in cooperation with CEL's partners, subject to the respective tournament and partner regulations.

Cyber Euro League considers the conduct uncovered in this case to constitute a serious breach of trust and competitive integrity. CEL's disciplinary decision is based on its determination that the organization and the actual player were misled regarding the identity and role of the person communicating on the player's behalf.

CEL is pleased that the situation was discovered before it could progress further. Protecting players, clubs, partners and the integrity of competition remains a priority for the organization.

The league would also like to clarify that Aviv Boostani was not previously in direct control of the communications being conducted with CEL through the relevant WhatsApp and Discord channels. Those communications had been led by Aviv Davidov, which contributed directly to the misunderstanding surrounding the player's identity.

Cyber Euro League will continue to strengthen its player-verification and communication procedures to prevent similar situations in the future and to ensure that all competitors participating in CEL events are properly identified and represented.
